Our 3rd Annual Walk-A-Thon held at FDR Park on Saturday, April 4th at 10a.m. was another remarkable fundraiser thanks to everyone for opening up their hearts during this tough economic time. Of course, it would not have been a huge success without the support from I.B.E.W. Local 98, The Philadelphia Phillies and McFaddens. An amazing $60,000 was raised for families of children with cancer! Thank you to everyone who walked, donated, and volunteered!
*Save the Date* Stratford Fall Festival 5K Walk/Run benefitting Michael's Way in honor of Hailey Arndt is already planned for October 3, 2009. On November 13, 2000 Hailey was born weighing only 2lbs 4oz. Unfortunately she had a short stay and lost her fight to RSV on February 2, 2001. Last year's walk was dedicated in her memory held by her parents Tom & Diana Arndt. The walk raised an outstanding $7,000!

Benefit Concert featuring Gypsy Dawg Thursday, October 30th at 8p.m. held at the Tyler James Pub, 210 Bridge Street, Phoenixville, PA. $4,000 was raised for Michael's Way!

The 11th Annual Golf Outing was held on September 8, 2008 at Stonewall. This year's outing was the most successful yet. Michael’s Way raised $750,000, of which 100% goes directly to families of local children who are suffering from cancer. The money raised at this event will hopefully ease the financial strain on families so the family can concentrate on the real battle, saving their child’s life! Our 6th Annual Fun Fest was held at The Children’s Hospital in Philadelphia on June 23, 2008. The Fun Fest was originally started to celebrate the opening of The Oncology Wing. These few hours give the patients and their families a sense of normality. It distracts them from their everyday issues and allows them to enjoy some entertainment. There was face painting, interactive music, a magician, cookie decorating, Noah's Ark Stuffed Animals and much more. This event has always brought many smiles and is enjoyed by all who attend.
